The product arrived in very good time. There was some damage to the box but after opening it the binoculars seem fine, though the microSD card USB reader they included was broken. I have other readers so not too worried about that. I will start with the bad things. The screen looks full width in the images shown but is much narrower on the actual device. The MicroSD card reader was damaged in transit, they need to put the product in another box with protection from damage. The device itself looks cheaply made. OK enough of the bad stuff, now the good stuff. It looks cheap but it has a very cheap price and while it looks cheap it does not look flimsy. It comes with a microSD card reader with USB connection and a neck strap, a manual and a C type USB cable and a soft fabric bag to prevent scratches. I was worried that being an AA battery powered machine I would soon have lots of dead AA batteries all over the place but I opened the battery compartment and it has rechargable batteries... excellent! Otherwise it looks very good, it uses active IR so it can be used inside in complete darkness. The images I am uploading don't seem to work. I took them all with the same camera on my phone and uploaded them all on the same computer. I only gave four stars for Logistics because of the damage to the MicroSD card reader, but otherwise I am very very happy with my purchase.

For observing from a distance they are excellent value for money, much better than first generation image intensification because that is damaged by daylight or bright flashes. This product works day or night without problems.

Ithas a magnified view like Binoculars and is best for viewing things that are some distance away. I don't think it would work well as a camera for taking photos. No where near the resolution of even a cheap cell phone camera.

The problem is that these are binoculars and as such are intended to be used to look at distant things and not close up things, so as binoculars they are excellent, including being able to take images and video, but if you want them as NVG the field of view is too small and they are not super light weight. With the active light they are excellent in complete darkness but amongst trees where the light reflects off branches it makes it difficult to see through the trees to things beyond. A bit like shining a torch that would also reflect off the tree branches and leaves and making it hard to see through behind in the darkness beyond which the branches and leaves block the light from. For use as binoculars they are very good and cheap and effective, but not NVG. (NVG = night vision goggles)
